I have a Philips 107S that my dad bought for like $99 at compusa or some other place. Lately, I have begun to think it is dying...
Symptoms:
1) Just since last week, I have a little bar that moves down the screen constantly, slightly distorting and darkening the image.
2)The screen shakes and compresses from top to bottom.
3)The screen darkens.

NOTE: All of these effects are not always occuring. They like to switch it up.

What do you guys think?

the shaking and the shrinking sounds almost like low line voltage. if i am correct, it's not a monitor problem, and would be your home electric. just for the heck of it, you should plug a multimeter into the wall socket, and watch your voltages....see if the voltage seems to fluctuate, and maybe go too low momentarily. i have seen the shrinking screen on tv's in homes with electrical problems, ....as far as low line voltage, anyways.

also, maybe check your video drivers, and your refresh rate......

Ah. It is low line voltage. When I turn my second monitor off, it stops. Thanks.
