What kind of results do you guys have with the 1100? CPU database shows some good numbers. Maxed out stably @ 1208 (11.5x105@1.85 volts), but kinda sucks! 40-42 C constant. Stock heatsink and fan w/ thermal grease and about 5 case fans. 3 in and 2 out at strategic positions (high RPM and CFM). It's a whirlwind in there! Chrome Orb on way! What the hell? Not stable with UT and Mech4 above that. Recommendations?
Have a 800 mhz Duron @ 968 running at 38-39 C constant. Will transfer the Athlon stock heatsink fan to Duron for better heat dissapation when Orb gets here to put on Athlon. These guys REALLY running stable @ 1300 and beyond? Is it temperature, or is it CPU...... or me,...... or what here? I want 1300 Mhz from that Athlon and 1000 Mhz from that Duron stably. Can I have it or what? ~JJ

I can barely get to 1.15Ghz with my 1.1 Thunderbird. I have one of the early 1.1's and they are the worst overclocking chip that I have ever bought. I recentely got my hands on one of the new 1Ghz chips and I managed to easily get it to 1.2Ghz (more than what I could get with my 1.1Ghz chip). You figure it out.

research the week your chip was make, see how the other 1.1's did that week when tried to overclock. Info is a little hard to find sometimes, but it could save you alot of trouble.

My 1.1 T-bird overclocks okay. Running 1.33@1.75volts. Using Bios WZB01 if I use a later one it will not overclock as far, I also get higher sandra benchmarks with this bios version running VIA 4.27.(9x148)
