Hey all, first i would like to thank all those that helped me out on my temp issues before. My latest problem is that whenever i raise the cpu to above 1200, at the windows bootup, it gives the invalid system disk error. I have tried all methods, raising multiplier, lowering multiplier and increasing FSB, keeping multiplier same and rasing FSB, etc. I am running the DIP Asus A7V, and i am nearly positive that I can get it over 1200 mhz. Also, whenever i raise the FSB, the system performance changes from Optimal to normal. I cannot get it back to optimal without keeping the FSB at 100. What the hell is up with that?! Also ( i know this is getting redundant) I have been getting Sandra scores of 3427/1594 on CPU benchmark, and 512/613 for Memory benchmark. Will anyone with a similar config let me know how i am doing? Again, thanks to all who reply, and everyone that gave me info on my heat issues (Alpha on the way...)

as to the system disk error.. could be anything. it's likely that it's that the proc can't take it or is getting too hot. lockups after booting, but before windows are normally that.

the optimal issue is your bios. in some of the bios's, you can't set the setting to optimal if you up your fsb. try 1006 or 1004d. they're probably the most commonly used bios's atm.

scores seem good. but i don't have a trird to compare to, so i'm not sure.

good luck.. hope you sort it out!
