What is the highest anyones ever run a set-up like this:
Globalwin GW-802 Midi Tower ATX No PSU

ABIT KT7A Motherboard
AMD Duron 800Mhz unlocked
TaiSol TaiSol CGK742092 Socket A Cooler

Today, while I was looking through the forum, I saw a guy with a 600 duron overclocked to 1000 so you shoudl be able to get 1100..

I have a KT7A and a Duron 800. I have not been able to clock much over 910 ~:( I may work on it this weekend but I am absolutely sure temperature is not the problem. I have an ISA card that is my second parallel port, a SB Live! Value, an SMC network card for my cable modem and a GeForce2 Ultra. I have 1 stick of 256 MB PC150 RAM. I am using an OCZ Dualie for cooling the CPU and I have a card cooler cooling the video card in addition to the on-card cooling.
I am currently having some very very frustrating troubles with the trace tape I bought for the L1s. Funny that 6B pencils work great but trace tape is giving me fits.
Anyway my current report is that I am having a lot of trouble getting the extra juice out of my Duron 800 and I'm currently nowhere near posting at 1 GHz ~:(

1000 should be pretty certain with that setup, 1100 is on the cards if you have a good chip. Myrddin, don't worry, that chip will go faster. It sounds as though you're ocing with the fsb, but when you start using the multiplier it'll be fine. Presumably you're running a KT133 board which would explain why you can't get the fsb high, but when you get that chip unlocked it'll start flying :-) I may be wrong, perhaps you have unlocked the chip - but if you're having trouble with the trace tape (dunno what that is) try the pencil if you haven't already...

The trace tape was a product I saw on some web site that was supposed to be a permanent replacement for pencil parks. It is adhesive tape with 4 small conductive strips. You apply the tape so the strips cover the L1s and Viola, it is good indefinitely. Unfortunately it didn't work for me.
Anyway the pencil thing works fine, I am currently at 7x133. I have a conductive pen but getting the ink out of it is a real bitch. I used the conductive pen on another CPU where I got the ink onto the tip of a pin and used that to close the L1s. That seemed to work ok.
I am going to try to o/c more once I bust out the conducive pen and really close the L1s, but I would hate to screw everything up before my first LANParty on Sunday which is what I did 3 weeks ago ~:(
