I have an AMD Athlon XP 2100+ and a Asus A7V8X mobo. Simply put: How much can I safely increase the multiplier? I have 5 fans throughout my case and a heatsink/fan on my CPU, so I dont think it will overheat easily. Thanks! Any feedback is appreciated!

Welcome to the Forum!

Every chip is different and you have to find its limits in small steps.

Take a look at this link to see what others have done with that chip: http://www.cpudatabase.com/CPUdb/
Ignore obvious typos, lies, fabrications and any liquid nitrogen cooling.

Either use whatever hardware monitoring software provided by Asus or download and setup Motherboard Monitor 5... http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ to monitor your temperatures and voltages.

beardie210 what kind of cpu is it? it could be a palomino, tbreda, tbredB.... tbredB being the most overclockable

if you know all the info on your cpu core, post it here

it should look something like this: axda1800dut3c 9526386260350 jiugb0251upbw
