closed L1's and set it @10x100it gave me 600mhz please help!

I have a msi k7t pro 2-a and athlon 900,I closed L1's with conductive paint and got 600mhz when set at 10x100,shouldent this of gave me 1ghz I also set voltage to 1.80 went to 9.5x100 and it gave me 550 mhz,what did I do wrong?..thanks

Use a magnifying glass to make sure your lines touch both sides of all the bridges. Make sure it is a good contact. To the naked eye, my first bridges were closed too, but when I examined it with a magnifying glass I had missed one bridge completely, and didn't have a good connection on another. Good luck.

ok,I will check it out agian,I did get it to go to 11x100 and got 1.1ghz but I had to set the voltage to 1.825,I was stocked then went to run 3d2000 and when it first goes into first test it kicks back to desktop try it agian and it freezes up,also does anyone know how to set the clk by slight adjust in msi k7t pro 2-a bios.there is just a red box and I cant figure out how to key in a dec#...thanks

I think it might be an heat issue,I have a globalwin haetsink & fan.I just found out this is only rated for 1ghz,this was the best one they had at the local store so must go online to buy a new set up,witck one is the best and where do I buy it?...thanks agian

What are ur temps?

at default clock and voltage(900/1.74v) it is 96-100f when I go to 11x100 and a voltage of 1.85 it goes to 111f
