KX133 incompatability with thunderbird slot a

I have an Asus K7V with the KX133 chipset. My uncle gave me a thunderbird slot a 900 mhz oem. I read that its electronically incompatiable with my chipset. I also read that manufacturors of the mobo can make some minor adjustments to make it compatible. Is there anyway I can make those modifications to my mobo?

I have heard that there are some problems with slot tb's and the kx-133. It should be ok if you flash the bios. I had a Soyo k7via and I had to flash it to get a tb to work with it. After I did it was fine. Hope that helps a little

you mean flash it to the latest bios? I think i already have the latest. I have an Asus K7v. I heard that it was ELECTRONIC incompatibility from a CPU FAQ. I'll if i have the lattest bios.
