I'm not really experienced with overclocking, but could someone help me. I wanna overclock my Athlon that's @ 952 Mhz right now (not oc'd) to 1 Ghz. I'm also assuming that I won't really need anymore cooling accessories since I'm only raising the processor speed by around 50 Mhz right?
The multiplyer right now is 9.5x, now would I need to change that or the FSB speed, and if so, how would I do that? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

to overclock this chip, you will first need to close the L1 bridges, if you haven't done that already, or the chip didn't come unlocked. you will also need a mobo that allows you to change the multiplier and fsb. your temps will determine if you need a better hsf or not.... if you are in the mid 50's C under load, you should be fine.

depending on your mobo, you should be able to change all the settings either through bios or dipswitches on the mobo itself...

I would think that you could increase the multiplier to 10x without any problems...
the best way to learn about it is to play with it :-)
good luck....
