Ok let me clarify

I had my system up and runing for about a week before i started toying around with it

I first unlocked the chip...athlon t bird 850
pop it in and it will boot up so i changed the multiplier and rebooted

Only to find out that the damn thing wont boot

so i thought ............ burnt chip......nope chip is fine in different board

pop in my duron 700 (unlocked) and boot it up all goes well ....
try to change multiplier and ill be damned if the same thing didnt happen

So right now i have a duron and a t-bird both sitting here that i cant get to work...

I wouldnt even give a rats ass but i know its not the board or the chips

i cant get into bios to change anything because it wont boot up power lights up and everything seems to go well but it wont show anything on the screen ????

works with new chip though...to bad i dont have one???

check your L1 connections. interconnections of the L1s can cause the computer to not boot. try erasing them and seeing if the chip will boot. if it does, then redo them more carefully and try again.

I had the same problems with the A7V133. But itīs no problem. You only have these probs with Bios-changing of multiplier. Remove Jumper JEN to Jumper-Mode. Then jumper to normal settings, in your case 8,5*100 and everything will be fine again. After next booting you can switch back to jumper-free-mode.

Thank you ....
it was the bios screwing things up so i did go to jumper mode and that fixed it
it still wont boot when you change settings in jumpfree mode

Rob Cork said that i had a 1005 series bios and thought that would probally cause a problem

he told me to try the 1004d bios...
supposidely it works better...?.....?.....?.....?
