View Full Version : Where do I get the conductive ink??
I'm buying a T-Bird and I'm going to unlock it but do not want to use a pencil. I could not find the window de-fogger kit at any of my local auto stores. I can't find anywhere on the net to buy it execpt in bulk(not even e-bay) Can anyone out there please help me!

You might want to try an auto parts store that sells "car quest" parts. I just got mine yesterday. But other than the repair kit you really might want to try to get a conductive pin. Not much higher in price, but I'm sure it's worth it. For me the cost would have been about 3 times more (w/s&h) and I would have had to wait about a week. For you, the conductive pen might be better though.

What you are looking for is a "Conductive Pen". I found mine at an electronics supply store. Call around first. I have the luxury of a job that travels so I check out all the stores when I go to a new town. If you live in San Diego you can go to a place called "Gateway Electronics" in La Mesa. Good luck.
I got mine from www.radioshack.com ... Just search Conductive Pen and that will bring it up. If I remember correctly it was like 13 dollars with shipping and everything included. Hope that helps!

I got one at http://www.alliedelec.com Do a search for Conductive pen, or Chemtronics
www.mouser.com Get on their mailing list. Lots of goodies for overclockers or electronics nerds.
