Let me start off by saying I´m impressed! 3 Minutes to answer my call for help...
Ok, it took off the heatsink, you were right crappy kind....
I put it back on, and now its at a stable 49ºc.
Probably just not fastened on right.
It has some white pasty stuff on it, any good?

the silicon paste on there probably isn't too bad, but invest in a better cooling setup. you've spent the cash to get a great chip, so don't skimp on the cooling. you can get a pal6035 for $25 with a fan, and a pep66 for a bit more. get some arctic silver II with that and you have a nice cooling solution. and if you're a bit more adventurous, you could even watercool!
