My SLK-800-U and Micrcool Northpole Microchip Cooling Kit just came in and i was wondering if i should lap these heatsinks before putting AS3 and mounting them. What yall think?

Well it depends on what they are like on the bottom...
If you see or feel grooves or other marks, then yes you might want to lap them.

I hear the 800's don't really need lapping, but I don't know about the other one. It wouldnt hurt them, thats for sure.

If you have the time it is a good idea to lap them. I recently purchased a SLK800 for my daughter and the bottom looked perfect until I marked it up and started lapping it. It was not nearly as flat as it looked.

Lap them. How much good it will do depends on how flat they already are, but lapping will still do some good.
