I was very excited to find out that taking the cooler on/off my CPU was pretty easy. So, in great haste, I carefully, using an HB pencil, close the L1 jumpers. Problem is, I closed the L1 jumpers all the way over to the L3 jumpers. Yup, drew a line right from one side of the L1 all the way over to the other side of the L3.

It works! I am clocking my 900MHz T-Bird at 1000MHz on an Asus A7V with 1005D. It has ran an hour without crashing (knock on wood).

Any thoughts anyone?

The processor voltage according to Asusprobe is 1.808 (I am running jumperless). This was the same before the mod. Is this typical or high? If this is high, I am thinking my processor is marginal at 900 and overclocking my not be a good idea.

Any feedback would be great.

Thank You

1.808 isnt a bad tempture.. Most AMD chips around 800 mhz+ run with a core voltage of 1.8v. Mine runs a little under at 1.76 but anything withing about .05 of what its supposed to be isnt bad.
