Lexan/polycarbonate window, velcro, 2 sunons in front, 2 generics on the side, generic on back. Tried to clean up the camles some, but I just took out a hard drive, and that messed things up when I has to unziptie everything.
The 4 switches on the front control the 2 side and 2 front fans.
Comments appreciated.
looks very good, what size are those sunons in front? i like your window especially.
what'd you do to your 2nd cd-rom drive? looks a bit old... maybe you could stealth it, not that hard.

80mm sunons, took a little grinding of the fan shroud/housing (if that makes sense) to make it fit. the opening is about 150 mm wide. 2x80 =160.
The CD-Rom is older than I can remember, probably like a 16x read-only. I just needed one to make CD copies. I'm thinking about stealthing them both, but I am reluctant to screw up my blanks, as I have not seen any like them.
Looks nice. I like the front fans.

good job
yeah, nice job on grinding the fans, i figured you had to do something to make them fit.
looks nice:)
if you want to clean the cables more just get some sleaving from svc.

Honestly? It could use some work. The fans in the front, for example, what are they cooling? The top of your PSU? Their placement doesn't really make sense to me. Also, the way you mounted the fans looks like you just slapped some crazy glue on the frames and shoved them into two drive bays. If you're dead set on keeping those fans there, you should put some sort of aluminum mesh in front of them so they at least look like they're part of the case and not just something slapped on.
Also, the window does not look good. Not only does the velcro look cheap, but by exposing EVERYTHING in your case, you ruin the aesthetics of the rest of you computer. Why? Because the front bezel on your case has a contemporary, pseudo art-deco design, while the innards of a computer tend to look more industrial. With your window showing everything, you end up with a clashing melange of styles. Cleaning up the cables would help a little (not to mention getting rid of the velcro); but the best advice would be to ditch the window and cut something out of the existing side panel or think of something else altogether.
Finally, you might want to paint the drives silver as that would really help clean up the look of your case.
Don't take this as a flame. I'm not trying to be mean, but just being honest. You have a nice case there and I think it could look GREAT if you took more time and effort with it.

Thanks.
Fans aren't designed for cooling, persay...they're designed for airflow. the 92mm in the panel and blue/red 80 mm in the back both blow air in, across the CPU, across the NB, across the RAM, up between the CD drives and PSU, and out the PSU and front fans. The CFMs are balanced, and fans in the front are just as effective as a blowhole. I set the system up to get the coldest air to the parts that are most important, in order.
The velcro is temporary, as I am finishing my overclock testing, and awaiting some sleeving. I will then attach it with wingnuts and bolts, most likely. (I like the tool-free idea)
I really do appreciate someone giving an honest opinion. Thank you.

Well, airflow is meant to facillitate cooling in your computer. It's good that you've calculated the intake/outtake of your fans, however, placement of air is just as important. The reason why I have a problem with your top mounted fans is that while it may help your airflow, it seems like the air that's being sucked in that area isn't going to help your computer much since none of the fresh air will hit anything much below the PSU. Also, because hot air tends to rise, I have a feeling that the hot air coming off your CPU and GPU will in fact cause the air coming in from the front fans to rise even more thus nullifying any positive effects you might have gotten from them in the first place.
Also, I read recently that having negative pressure in your case is actually the ideal environment for the inside of a case (can't remember where I read that but as soon as I remember, I'll reference it). ie, you should have a higher CFM of air blowing out than in. Apparently, most of the larger OEMs (Dell, IBM, Apple) design their cases around this philosophy as they have found this atmosphere to provide the best environment for hot components.

The front fans are blowing out, along with the PSU. That makes 3 80mm fans blowing out, and 1 60mm, 1 80mm, and 1 92mm fan blowing in.
Heat rises, so think of a blowhole on top of your computer. These 2 fans on the TOP front do the same thing.

Ahh, ok. That makes more sense then :D.

Nice nice, never seen a case window like that before. I like the fans in the drive bay also, very nice. Not the most professional looking, but owell.
Maybe you should upgrade your old Acer monitor, it looks pretty ugly next to your beast.
Looks really good, once again I am in favor of the stealth and absolutely love the fans in front.
The window's something I never saw before and I like it immensly.

like method().man said, i would stealht the cd-roms, do something to cover the front fans (modder's mesh from mnptech.com could be nice) and then a less blatant window. i'd also get more color in there with a CCFL or led fans.

Ahh.. the power of velcro! You and I are the only ppl that I have seen use velcro on the side pannel. I was trying to figure out how you mounted that fan, and then I realized that it was attacked to the lexan. DOH!

I bought some steel mesh from Home Depot today, $3 for 16 square feet. I dunno what I'll do with the rest. I'd like to put filters in, but I like how my case is currently just 3 degrees (celsius) higher than ambient. I don't think the mesh will hurt me much.
I've decided to go ahead with the CD-ROM stealth.
and about the acer monitor...lol...that was at my friend's house, I was showing him my computer, and the only spare monitor was that old Acer. I have a fairly crappy Phillips right now, but getting a 19" CRT sometime soon. (like a month)

the case looks pretty good, but if u want to make it look a little more professional, I would porbably color the drives, do something about that window because when I first looked at it, i thot u didnt even had a side on the case cuz it was all clear but then i saw the fans that looked like they were flowting in mid-air.
all-in-all, it looks pretty nice except for the fans in the drive bay, i would prolly put mesh over it to make it look a little better

looks functional, however unlike ferrari, functional in this case does not=beautiful.
I too am not flaming, but it does not have a finished look. unless you were wanting a very industrial appearance.
it would also drive me nuts to have air blowing out the front, just seems like it would be distracting, hot, and bothersome. guess if it was nowhere near you it wouldnt matter, mine would be blowing on my leg though.

For me, function>form. I routinely see temps just 3 or 4C above ambient.
