I have read about 3 different threads of people talking about some new discovery with the Tinker proteins.
What is it? I have read through all the papers sections, News, and results and I have not found out what you guys are talking about. If that is the reason why a majority of us are stuck doing tinker cores wouldn't they have said something?
I think that Stanford should have more communication with thier top 10 teams, (Us being #3) because we are thier biggest producers.

well the irony of it all is my mom's P3 1Ghz compaq is getting p340's gromacs (32 minute frame times) and my amd OC'ed to 2.1Ghz is getting tinkers. my rig has the 3.25 core and -advmethods -forceasm flags turned on.
what's the dilly??

Well, it is becuase so many people are doing Gromacs, that they are throwing tinkers in the -advmethods "list". Most people get gromacs if you turn it off, but please the reason they do this bit of throwing the tinkers in is for the science...fold for the science, then the points :)

Yup, I've left my rigs folding whatever they're given and while it IS annoying to get a 3 point unit (!) it's all for the cause and I've ramped quite considerably so I'm still rising!
