worst 1700 ever

hmmm, i'm in a bit of a situation.

I have a 1700+ from newegg, soltek MRN-L nforce2 board, and a falconrock II hsf. It won't even post at 166fsb and default voltage. I have to give it 1.8v to POST at 1833mhz

I came just short of gauranting my customer that I could o/c it to AT LEAST 1833mhz.

do I just have the worst tbred ever made or what?

what's the stepping on it? if it's an AIRGA, you're probably at it's limit....i think that's what newegg is shipping now...JIUHB is what you want.

That is likely to be one of the "NEW" T-bred A 1700's appearing recently.

damn. From everyone else's posts I'd pretty much assumed everything was tbred-B's now

Just in the last week or so, reports have been made about 0324 dated T-bred A appearing.

AH.. LOL your lucky you even get that far.. mine wont even hit 160//160 :( NOW, it wont even do 100/100 and boot!
