I just received mine from NewEgg yesterday...and it has the newer fan on the NB.

This is the one that's pictured in a recent review of the IC7 from Tom's Hardware website. It has clear fnablades.

I just got my IS7 from excaliber PC and it is a Rev 1.0 but has the new light blue metallic northbridge fan.

i ordered mine july 14th from googlegear, and i recieved a rev. 1 with
the newer NBF. [off topic] it also came with a Gigabit NIC :D [/off topic]
i'm running 5/4 250/200 (800Mhz FSB i'm guessing?)

i can't hear it over my dying GPU fan. running Prime 95 ver 23, my
temperature probe (finger :p) reports cool temps. i dunno about
under the thermal pad, but the HS seems cool.

i read in this thread that Abit will ship the newer NB cooler for the IC7.
if its true i would hope they would do the same for us IS7* owners.

[edit] CPUID reports 1002.3mhz bus speed [/edit]

sorry...been working on installing my system and OV for awhile...

My IS7 has the new NBF and I've, FORTUNATELY, have not had any problems with the onboard sound. This is while playing quake with the MIC plugged in.

Now, I have not got a chance to really talk to anyone using the MIC.

I have the #COM chip set on it.

Sound? Temperatures?

Well, so far I've not had any problems with the sounds...

The temp seems to be 10C higher than normal..but I think this seems to be the case with every ABIT MBs
