ive been trying to oc my 1.1 tbird and it seems one of my dip switches that sets my multiplier doesnt work correctly so the highest i can set it is 11.5...so im trying to oc the fsb and i cant get it over 101! I have a large heat sink & fan on the north bridge and a smaller one on the south bridge. I can occasionaly get it to run at 102 but not very often.

please help!
I dont want to believe that the highest i can oc to is 1162...i would be embarassed to put it in the cpu database!

Are you sure it is the dipswitch that is bad? I seem to recall reading that failing to properly close one of the L1 bridges will cause certain multipliers not to work while others work fine. Just a thought.

Of course, if you are sitting there with a little piece of dipswitch on the floor, never mind.

im pretty sure its the dip switch...ive tried different multipliers like 10 that require the third (of four) dip switches to be in the off position. THe switch acts as if it is always on...even if i set it to the off position

I've found that different chips respond differently to FSB increases. The lowest stable FSB increase I've seen is 102 and the highest is 111.
