I've seen this on my 1200 and my 800 T-bird.

Yes, the dying material always drips off a little bit. It has been like this on all of the AMD CPUs I have seen, and I've probably seen as many as 10 or so in person. I never gave it much mind, rest easy, your CPU is fine.

Anyone know the melting point for that glue? 90c is 194f. Could it be AMD thinks these cpu's can run until the glue melts?
That is the sealant that AMD puts on every CPU to keep the smoke in. The smoke is the secret ingredient that makes them work so well. Everyone knows that is you let the smoke out of your CPU, it will suffer performance degradation and if you let it all out, the CPU wont work anymore. Always strive to not let that smoke out. :-)
