I have the same problem! CMOS says one thing while Sandra says another. Sandra actually has it higher than CMOS....

What to believe????

From what I can tell Sandra dose not seem to be accurate at all. Also I have been told that the CMOS temp is your most accurate.

Check on your MOBO manufacturers web site or on the cd that came with it for a monitoring program. I have found that monitoring progs form the manufacturer most closely match what is reported in the bios and they are the most accurate.

Make sure the thermistor under the CPU is:
1) Touching the bottom of the CPU
2) has a small dib of thermal compound on the spot of contact.
3) Is bent to be contacting directly under the center of the core.

My opinions...

on my abit kt7 sandra shows the system temp instead of the cpu temp. Use via hardware monitor instead
