1.) I know that to link the L1 bridges you need some sort of conducting material, and apparently "graphite carbon" (lead pencil) while not a "good" conductor, is a conductor none the less.
2.) However using a conductive pen will provide the same but longer lasting results, the reversal factor isn't as simple as a pencil eraser.
3.) Can covering the L1 links with nail polish cause any problems or is it safe. Could different types of nail polish and their ingredients cause problems??
4.) What type of store carries conductive pens?

Removing conductive ink is as simple as a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Any electronics store should have a conductive pen...call and ask if they carry a Circuitworks Conductive Pen :)

Dark red nail polish would make for the nicest look

I would think that it would be easiet just to use the conductive pen although
if not available you should be able to use almost any liquid material with high metalic content.

although i know of noone as of yet that has used nail polish....
just as a guess i would think a silver or gold because gold the color has true gold dust in it ....as to what amount you would have to run an ohm test of it to check the resistence ...lower the better ....

Anyone know how nail polish hold up under heat?

Nail varnish will hold up under heat. I never knew it was good for the trick. I've got loads of nail varnish as well for when I get dressed up of a weekend - that's when I turn into wild_andrea_c

YOU CAN NOT LINK THE L1 BRIDGES WITH NAIL POLISH. YOU HAVE TO USE A PENCIL OR A CONDUCTIVE PEN, NAIL POLISH IS TO COVER THE L1 LINKS AFTER YOU HAVE LINKED THEM.. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LINK THE L1'S WITH NAIL POLISH.

VIRTUAL is correct. I don't understand why you would want to go through all that trouble with the pencil then nail polish when the conductive pen / defroster repair kit's success has documented in here so many times. I've done both and found that the defroster kit works quite nicely, and you don't have to concern yourself with redoing the traces as with pencil.

Works best on the "blue cores". I think it'll clash on the "green" ones. IMHO
