All my previous experience delt with socket 7. I just built my new system last week and the system says I have a 750 processor. Have tried to manualy set the bios and set it at 1000, but it still says 750? How can I find what it is actually operating at and get it to 1 gig?
Oh and I did check to make sure it is actually a 1 gig chip.
Thanks

Motherboard Monitor 5, SiSoft Sandra 2001, WCPUID, there are lots of 'em.

what does it say when you boot up?

Well, I decided to try closing the L1 bridges and that fixed it. Now it is at 1000. When I booted before it said, "Athlon 750 (7.5 x 100)" then I would go into the bios and it was set at 10 x 100. But after closing the bridges it works fine. Seems kinda weird to me.
BTW, I ran SiSoft Sandra before and after and there was a huge difference.
