I have been using emiii for about a week now. I have 14 machines I'm monitoring atm.

A couple questions for you more experienced users.

Is there a limit on how many computers I should monitor?

At times when trying to scroll up and down the list it gets stuck..... I turned off the mouse scroll button support and just click on the up and down arrows but it still happens.

Seems the more computers I add the more false errors it reports, is this normal?

How bad does the net traffic and cpu usage get if I go to monitoring 20 or so?

There's no limit, that I know of. It doesn't get stuck, it just takes a while to scroll. (30 seconds to a minute), mine does the same thing. Just wait on it.

Yeah, when you monitor more than seven or eight rigs it'll stick when you try to scroll. Like NB said, just wait on it and let the proggie catch up.

I wish there was a way to make it scan the other computers less often as the default is every 5 seconds. I'd rather it scan every minute or two to save trafffic and processing.

I think I had it set up to scan 22 computers once on a PMMX 200 rig and it worked just fine. That's all that computer did though. :D

I was just thinking that actually. It'd be nice if you could set Electron Microscope to ping less often. Any chances Weatherman? Pretty please?

And Wedo, any ideas why a Win2000box can see Win2003Server on the network but my WinXP box can't see the Win2003 Server box? I want to monitor the server box with EM but can't even see it let alone monitor the folding.

I can see the 2000box fine and can monitor as long as I'm logged in as a user. I can also see the WinME box and i can't remember the other one but i can see it too.

(mmm, almost as many OS as boxes! )
