I have a pretty nice 57" Toshiba HDTV downstairs, and I was wondering what video cards are capable of outputing video through component cables.

Also, how good will the quality be? maybe some shots of a HDTV using the card.

Or, I've seen some VGA-Component converters for around 100bux, anybody know how good these are?

Thanks

if your TV has a DVI input that would be the best way to hook up, but other than that the ATI solution is known to be very good

good luck, and there is nothing better than gaming at 57" :)

I have seen cheap VGA to Component cables(the type with a VGA plug on one end and several BNC plugs on the other).

Hey, star882, i saw some VGA-BNC cables on the internet.
They have 5 BNC cables, do you just use the component colored ones, and not use the other two?
Is this the same as VGA-Component? because these cables are only like $20!

Thanks everyone, I can't wait till I get some money to buy some.

would the VGA-to-Component-YPrPb cable for $25 at 6' work with my geforce?

Isn't there just a s-video to component adapter?

I would love to use component for my TV-Out but Nvidia only uses S-video as the better tv-out solution.

whats the point? the picture will only every be as good as s-video if you use a convertor.
