i have a unlocked tbird 1000 (100fsb flavor) sitting on a abit kt7. I have it running at a multiplier of 11x105/35 (plus 2 on cpu) fsb- with a voltage of 1.85
here is the question, I am using generic pc100 ram, what are the odds of achieving a higher cpu fsb if i used micron pc133 cas=2?
It seems to me that the cpu fsb should be uneffected by the ram on my motherboard being as the cpu fsb can be set independentaly of the pci fsb.
does the ram have anything to do with this??

basically, what would be some good settings to try as far as multiplier/fsb? It seems that 1230mhz is as fast as I can go stable, but many of you guys hit 1275-1375 pretty easily. I have a fop-38 which has me running 51C at full load (with opened case)

pc 133 ram like kingston or micron helps alot! but you have to remember that your mb has the kt133 chipset, that doesn't support high bus speeds like the kt133a does. but with changing the multiplier you should reach 1200.

apparently the two FSB settings are not really separate like the manual states, the cpu setting will have (some) affect on your AGP and PCI, good quality ram is important when ocing with the FSB also good cooling is veryimportant the cooler the chip the higher it will oc

I would also suggest that you reapply the thermal paste under the chip set cooler took mine off and found very little compound
