Are the prices really going to drop on T-Birds after 3/5/01 ??

There was a rumor going around that the AMD T-Bird 1ghz and up, prices will fall after March 5,2001. Ihave noticed prices falling slightly recently.
I would like to get a 1ghz or higher T-Bird in the next week or so, to match up w/ the new Iwill KK266-R that is on its way.
Any confirmation and/or rebuttal will be appreciated.

Most "announced price drops are usually mostly absorbed ahead of time - typically in the week before the actual date. I would be surprised if the pricewatch prices will drop significantly on Monday. But hey - you never know...
