When over clocking if you have generic ram pc133 cas3 it can make the computer unstable when upping the FSB right?

I have a Socket A 800,MSI K7T Pro 2A,128mb pc133 cas 3 generic ram,sound blaster live x-gamer.

That depends. I have two types of generic pc133 mem (128+256), and I've been runnin both on cas 2 as well as turbo for the past few weeks. Even up to the 145 - 150 fsb mark. But that's on the abit kt7a. And if I try the regular mode for the memory, the system won't work. Your system might be different. As for the pc 150 cas2 mem. it should be better.

I'm running a pair of "no-name" 128M PC133 sticks. They're not even the same internal configuration. I am running them on the KT7 with everything maxed out in bios, including CAS2 instead of CAS3. Since I don't have the "A" chipset, I'm using 100 Mhz FSB and 100+PCI (=133) clock to the memory. They work great with I/O voltage of 3.35. My Sandra 2001 memory benchmarks are 469/543. Dropping back to CAS3 knocks those values down, as well as running only 100 clock to the memory. I get my OC strictly by multiplier upping. (10x100). That is a true test of the CPU. Start messing with the FSB and there are just too many variables in the equation. FWIW Sandra2001 CPU bench is 2798 Mips / 1361 Mflops
