do I need a water cooler, where do I start?
KT7A, 1GIG t/bird W/super orb, generic ram (256 PC133), Gforce2 GTS W/ blue orb, S/B live value, 3, 80M case fans. I'm still waiting for the proc on this one

I also have just about the same set up on a KT7 board but 2 sticks of ram(=256) and a G force256. The orb was a pain to install as I didn't know there was a mod needed, thought I toasted 1 of the caps:(( but it all works. the temp is 94f, idel and 105f, after Q3 rather worm if U ask me

lets see water cooling in my opinion is a choice not a necessity there a many good air cooling products

and silver HS compound no silicon will work almost as good and is a lot cheaper

and last of all if you wish to change the multiplier then you will need to connect the L1 bridges

oh yea one other thing there is a lot of good info on the main page cooling , thermal compounds , beginners guide, and current OC news ;D

3 THINGS prudent in just starting off
-dont do nothing till ya learned everything possible on your make/model
-OC in increments (always keeping in mind lower
multiplier/higher fsb)& document your findings
-lastly but most important....know your peripherials...
overclocking is a combination of HARDWARE and
all is not the same ..... different software can enhance
your results but itll only go sooooo fast wit whatchya got....
be happy !! :-)
ps. Kat.... nice buck ..... buckstalkinOCFreak .... lol
