I was wondering on my MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR inder BIOS when i got to change the multiplier it only gose to 13 i have not unlocked my CPU(XP2600 333FSB) so when i do pick 13 it gose to 5 but if i were to unlock my cpu would the MB let me go higher then 13.

I think 13 is all you get period, and yes you have to unlock your CPU to use multi

just kidding. 13 on most boards in inacessable. It does push you back to 5. Mine does the same. You can use the wire trick to get higher multipliers, but most people prefer the high FSB and low multiplier

You get better performance with higher bus speeds and lower multiplier….but….If you don’t have good enough ram and want to get higher multipliers go here for a interactive guide.

I cut the bridges on my 1700+ to give me a 14 multiplier.
