Are there L1 bridges on the K6 2 450, under that cover or somewhere??? or does anybody know where I can get information on how to O/C this type of CPU???

Not sure, but if ya tell us what board ya got we might be able to help.
If u got a mobo that support it you can just change muiltipilere/fsb in bios. But dont expect a high oc with an k62. I got mine only too: 450@518 stable. while 525 would post but freezes in boot.

Don't I have to unlock the multiplyers on the cpu first or are they allready open? I don't know what kind of mobo it is, it belongs to a relative and he didn't tell me but I will take a look at the board and in the bios for the multiplyers. Thank you for your advice people.

K6-2's never had locked multipliers.....
If you have a board that supports BIOS manipulation of FSB and Multiplier, by all means, use it. I have never heard of a Super Socket 7 board thhat sported such a feature though. Most used jumpers to set FSB and multiplier, that's how I OC'ed mine (K6-2 500 to 560). If I were you I'd stick to multiplier overclocking - try 500 MHz... MVP3 chipset boards (75% of available SS7 boards are Via MVP3 based) are really finicky when the PCI bus is overclocked, my IDE devices really really did not like it. You might be able to get 500 MHz out of your chip, maybe more depending on cooling and how far you are willing to raise your core voltage. If you fry your chip, oh well!! there's always Duron. :-)

yo dude
the k62 450 series multipliers are not locked so u do not need to unlock them
get details of the sysytem , motherboard , and cpu info.and we'll see what we can do
but unless u are lucky u will be unlikely to see much more than 550mhz
cheers

luck has nothing to do with it, I have a k6-2 500 at 600, I had to buy some stuff (fop32-1, more paste, lapping) but I got there
hey bonza!!!
dood
let me know when u've taken the cap off lapped the cpu's core and the heatsinks base used artic silver pushed the vcore upto 3.3v and the I/O upto to 3.5v and hit the 700mhz !!!! ...idle temp. 36c full load 42c
after looping for 24hrs with no crashes oh yeh taisol gck742092 cooler with black label fan mod noisy but nice!!!!
hey virtual dude
if u post up detail of your mainboard and system details I'll cheerfully point u in the right direction m8
just done a k62 450 afx O/C ( the one I'm using now )
and it's running at 550mhz with only a little tweaking
multiplier set to 5 X fsb @ 110mhz at 2.6vcore
only other mod is a taisol gck742092 cooler with a ys-tech 60mm fan on board
cheers

the k6-2's are fickle to say the least .... i managed to fry one mobo and one cpu in the process ... and the one i have now is a beast and a half ... bailed on it when i discovered the joys of the duron and a jumperless mobo ....
i recommend that you quit putting money into your setup .... and start looking towards going into a socket A setup ... you can get a socket A mobo and duron cpu for less money than you spend on a k62 and mobo these days ... in the mean time start looking for a mobo manuel for your mobo ... try finding a mobo manuel .... (ie go to your favorite search engine type motherboard database) ... and then crank the fsb and the multipler settings little by little .... hint here lay off the reset button when it fails to post ....
best of luck
FWIW, got an amptron pm0958b mobo which i'm using to run a k6-2 450 at 550 and 2.5v. bios selectable 66 or 100 mhz and multiplier up to 5.5. Runs hotter'n hades but it's been up for well over a year now.
