This is a bit vague - you have a 800 @ 1000 or a 1000 that won't unlock?

did you forget the fan???\
need more info and ill try to help
Standard fan/heatsink (certified for AMD usage) will keep it less than 50c
Are you using a good fan/heatsink???
thermal tape?? paste??? artic silver???
case fans?
hot in room??? 75F. or above???
lots of variables
WOW 79c is deadly for ur cpu. if the temps is right it gonna fry anytime. What heatsink do u have? Are u sure its touching the cpu core?
If i was u i would not run it one sec more before u got it under atleast 55c
i did see from ur other post that u got a stock heatsink!! Most 1ghz tbird will overheat when ur using a stock heatsink. Mine 1.1 wouldnt even run the coolermaster DP5-6H51!! It got over 60c after a few sec in bios!!
You should atleast consider getting the fop32 or fop38. For me it wasnt even enough with a fop32 too keep under 50c loaded so i had to buy a fop38!
run it there much longer and it WILL die soon. try and remount the hsf. and get a better one while you're at it. a ghz tbird is nice investment... don't skimp on the cooling. alpha pal6035 or pep66 highly recommended by everyone. fop38 is good too, and cheaper.
