I just put in my PAL 6035, with Arctic Silver paste. I put a paper thin layer over the center square core only. I have 4 pads on the CPU.

1 ghz T-bird @ 1184 now
103 X 11.5
PAL 6035
Idle temps in Windows highest at 50 degrees Celcius
Temps remain 50 degrees celcius running Unreal Tournament
Asus A7V KT 133
1.75 core volts, anything higher and temps can creep up to 54 degrees

I can go to 110 FSB, but it becomes unstable. It will not boot over 110 FSB.

Can anyone help? Can anyone give me advice as to what to try next?
Is my PAL 6035 seated wrong? Do I need more paste?
Temps to high?
Do I need high quality pc 150 ram?

I would like to run a lower multiplyer and higher FSB, but I cant seem to do it.

Your help is appreciated!!

What is your system (inside the case) temp at? Seems odd that idle and high-load gaming produce the same core temp. The 6035 should be able to handle the load, assuming reasonable system temp.

I am verifying this via Asus Probe software.
Motherboard temp 29 degrees celcius/ 84 F
just checked again CPU temp 52 degrees celcius

not sure what the heck is going on here. I ordered the PAL 6035 with the downgraded fan. I am not running the Delta 38. I dont know if this makes a difference or not. I may order the big Delta, if I cant seem to get my temps under control here.

I also will try running it for a while with the side of the case off, see how that affects temps. If it drops dramatically is it safe to assume that I need better case cooling?

AS far as I can tell now the PAL 6035 did not change my temps at all from the Master Cooler I had on there.

please keep the ideas coming, I would really like to get a handle on this!

Yes, Try it with the side of the case off. If the temps drop, I would suggest putting 1-2 larg fans on the side of the case above the CPU drawing the hot air out.
