So, now I'm trying with a Duron 750... How far can I get it going? The CPU-fan is an Super ORB (The big noisy one...) and the temp. is running for around 40°C case open if I'm not mistaken. I've been toasting a few CPUs during Jan-Feb (OK just 2) So I want 2 be sure... I would prefer not to do any voltagemods right now (seems too dangerous) but I'm about to unlock it.

Well if I was u, I would get some new cooling. Something like an Alpha or a FOP38.
But I think u can reach 800-950MHz with ur current cooling. Get the chip unlocked, and pump the multiplier. Just keep an eye on ur temp,s, cuz I don't know how high that ORB will take u.
Good luck

you should easily hit 1.0GHZ pump up your FSB to the 110's range and adjust your multiplier between 8.5 -9.5...pump up your cpu voltage to 1.85...with a good HSF youll be running stable no prob...but always remember...a good overclocking pu is the luck of the draw...have fun overclocking keep us updated! if u want suggestions on fans ill give u some...dont forget thermal paste also...

Very easy just the trick pencil and multiplier jumpers, fsb and voltages all cross the bios.
I will try 900 this afternoon.

Come on, try overclocking without worry.

I would advise you to dump that orb for 2 reasons. 1- As you increase the voltage and speed these chips heat up a lot and none of the orb style products are up to the task. 2- I have seen several people crush there cores because of the way the orb has to mount. I like the mounting clip that is on the alpha a lot. The best way though is to use the 4 holes in the mobo, Swiftech makes a killer heatsink that monts in this way.

We'll I've been looking far and wide for the FOP38, but I cannot seem to find one - so if there is anyone from Sweden reading this, who knows where to find one here: Make yourself heard! About the Alpha-fans... Which one one to prefer? What thermal paste is the best?
