Hello, nice to see community of OC'ers. I'm thinking of trying overclocking for the first time and have few questions.
What is best AMD CPU for overclocking? Would 266mhz T-birds with DDR SDRAM overclock better than PC133 with 200mhz T-birds?
I'm thinking of getting T-bird 1.2gig (266FSB) with PC2100 DDR. I'm waiting for VIA's DDR board to see how good it will be but what other DDR motherboard is best for overclocking? Is there known issues or problems with 266FSB T-birds with DDR??? I know DDR isn't that much faster right now but I'm trying to plan for future. I have old PC100 RAM right now and might as well buy the DDR rather than one that will be obsolete soon.
Any recommendation for Cooling? Something that's efficient but not too noisy. Case? PowerSupply? Anything I should be aware of? Any input for this newbie would be appreciated.
I'm also looking for detailed instruction on how to overclock 266FSB T-birds. If there's good resource site, please let me know. Thanks.
