very werid problem with RAM

i can run 3.0 ghz stable with pc2100 generic ram

BUT

with 512 mb geil pc3500 platinum ultra ..

i cant even run 250 fsb. ive already disabled the last 2 options, and im not sure what else i need to do..

What board and cpu is this with? Don't use SPD settings.
