Is it possible to use the wire trick to unlock a 1900+ Pally. If so would anyone have a link?

Thanks for trying but it didn't work. So I went and bought a unlocking kit and not the grease ones either.

Holly smokes, you own a Chaintech nForce2 mobo with PC3200 and you're f@ckin around witha Pally... spending money on unlocking kits... and you're in Wisconsin which means you can order a guaranteed T-Bred B for $49.

Do it... now... sell the Pally...
You can run 1700+ T-Bred B at 2800+ to 3000+ even with a $10 Thermalright let alone better cooling.

That's a great PCI locked mobo which means sky is the limit for you.

Still in the upgrading area. So for right now I'll stick with my pally. However when we build my soon to be wifes computer we will be using a 1700+t-bred b for her Zenith board. Also where in WI can I get a 1700 T-bred b for $49?

The same place you can get them if you're in Kansas, $49, free shipping here:

Apologies for my previous post,
a guy just paid a $43 for a Palomino on eBay today here
http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=216619

and you can get a guaranteed T-Bred for $6 more...

Yeah man, you really should go over to ExcaliberPC or GameVE and pick up a t'bred B 1700 or something. With the setup that you have that Pally is going to hinder you really bad.

Also, hows the board working for you?

Well first off can't get the 1700 right now getting married Aug 2nd so money is a little tight. As for the board it's going great, had it to 150FSB could've gone higher but my temps were 50idle. Found out I need a new water pump kept getting air in the lines.

Get a 1700 319 from svc.com and tell the furture wife it is a wedding present to her...but you need to test it out for...say a year or so just to make sure it works correctly ;)...

Put the Pally on eBay and put the T-Bred on your credit card.
You should get the $ from eBay by the time your bill arrives.

What's so complicated about that. For like $6 you get a chip that you can run at 3000+ speed. This is a no-brainer.

A 1700 310 or 319 can easily run between 2.3 and 2.5Ghz...both of my 1700's ran at 2.1Ghz on default voltage (1.5v's)...the 1700 310 is running at 2.4Ghz on PC2100 Kingston ram right now...

319 is history along with my main rig...matter of fact all of my rigs where destroyed...but the 319 was running at 2.5Ghz on a 8RDA+ with PC2700 Kingston ram at 1.7v's...the 310 takes 1.75 at 2.4 on a A7N8X Deluxe...
