I don't know if I believe this..... There has been so many fake pic's lately. Could be real, could be fake, I don't know. If it isn't fake, this dude has done one hell of a good overclocking job!
Just my 2 cent.
Hi nick adams, do often visit in that forum?

BS. Total BS. Look at the picutre REAL close again.... Look around the fields where the numbers are...who ever did this photo shop job is an amature. Fake. Its EXTEMELY pixilated...how lame.

and a pic with that kind of compression degrade shoul dbe WAY less then that file size.
The file size is only 31k and you will get a lot of pixelation with that much compression. I enlarged the pic in photoshop and examined it closely and it looks good I don't think it was altered.

I think it was fudged. Plain and simple. :)

That sort of image quality should be MUCH smaller in file size.... approx 75% quality for a normal photo is only 25-30Kb
all jpg files looks awful

not HTAT bad for such a file size... i still use quite a lot of jpeg compression in my position (graphic prepress)
a 50Mb jpeg file is much better then a 500Mb TIFF file and quality is virtually unnoticble at Hi res/quality

I think that pic is as fake as a 3 dollar bill.
Hey Metaxas is right it shouldn't have so much pixellation. That really uncovers the fact that is fake.

I have emailed the person who run the artical and see what he has to say, as soon as (that is if) i get a response I will post it on here for all to endure.

I'm not convinced it is a fake - most cpuid shots seem to show that pixellation around the writing, presumably due to the compression. The typeface matches exactly as far as I can see, though it could be a cut-and-paste job... guess we'll never know for sure unless we could actually see the comp for real, and that's never going to happen.

if he did a voltage mod to his motherboard 1.7 is possible, i can post @ 1625 with just win locking up, if i could have 2v for core then i could go higher than 1533.
take a look at this this is from my sons pc which i converted to jpeg look`s kinda crappy

It might be possible if it was a 1200MHz as urs, but this one is supposed to be a 1000MHz.
Hi there
I work in the trade (OcUK), and just recently most chips 1Ghz upwards have been 1.3 cores. We have had many 1Ghz/1.1Ghz/1.2Ghz that all do 1.4Ghz+ easy, and some do not. It is possible that many chips at the moment are all prototype 1.3 cores, and some clock v. well and some do not.
When you use JPG compression you do get that poor quality in the compression.
I have owned a 1.2Ghz for the last couple of weeks, which I have been running at 1475Mhz 24/7 with air cooling, and could overclock to a max of 1513Mhz for a short while.
Yesterday I borrowed a 1Ghz CPU (1.3 core) from OcUK, and I have managed to overclock it to 1.54Ghz. That has made me smile, such a cheap CPU with a over 50% overclock.
Check out my post here with benchmarks:

I do believe that 1Ghz @ 1.7Ghz, as I reckon it is possible with a TEC & watercooling. This 1Ghz chip I have should do 1600-1800Mhz with a 150watt+ TEC & watercooling.
Gibbo
After what gibbo posted this overclock might be true although I believe that without a Vapochill is unreachable.

I was looking at the pic, and was wondering what happened to system clock for his system, it's gone, but on Kat's pic it's there?

I'm not positive this is the reason but the top one is ver 2.8 and Kat's is 3.0
