how far off from 2000? well im going to say q3 or q4, maybe sooner but definitly not much later. hope amd wins the race.

actually MaximumPc had a timeline i think intel was projected to have a 2.5ghz by q1 of next year. who knows. the amd was close behind, i guess amd is more concerned with quality rather than trying to win the "mhz" war.

We are already into the microwave spectrum of alternating current. We are fastly approaching the "Wall of Physics". super-conducting, light, parallel processing, etc. seem like the only future routes to me.
