Running my barton 2500+ @ 190 x 11.0 ATM 2090 MHz, and I just scored a 9597 on 3dMark2001. Seems like a pretty low score for my system, but I'm wondering if my gf3 ti500 is my biggest limiter on the 10k mark.
SiSoft tested my memory at Int Buffered 2625 MB/s and Float Buffered at 2430 MB/s.
I haven't tried the 200 FSB yet, maybe in a few days, but where else should I look for a higher score? I really don't want to go buy a new video card, but.....
Oh yes, with the Barton 2500+, when do I start to worry about temps? After running 3dmark, the proc was around 48 - 49 C according to AsusProbe.
oc teh card....
This is what my ol ti500 got...

This was at 1.8ghz 173 fsb, my old system.
Card was at 268/591

WTH? I have a struggle to get my R8500 over 11K. CPU at 11x200 (CAS2) and 8500 @ 300/300!

there's only one R8500 guy beats me in futuremark.. all the rest, i whoop em, badly.
What settings are generally used when running 3DMark? I mean control panel settings like LOD and other settings? I set texture preference and mipmap detail to high performance and gained a whopping ~440 points :p

OCthis has a CRAZY cooling setup though....so after overclocking that thing to the MAX, he seems to have a nice score :p

yeah, pelt-cooled cards don't count and you know that!
Those old G3's kick butt. What DX are they?

i cant get more than 7838 3DMarks, no idea what the deal is, card is OC'd and all the other settings are enabled. i just think its about time for a new card. in the meantime, does anybody have any suggestions on how i can get a higher score with my radeon 7500?

Sounds about right. My ti200 (stock cooling, modest overclock) pulls 9234 in 2001SE. The card is definitly a bottle neck. My buddy with a 9500Pro on a pally 2100+ gets over 11k.

Definately the card; my 9700 Pro scores over 15K in 3dMark01.

Bleh, guess I'll try OC'ing the vid card some, I just know my card already runs pretty hot with the waterblock on it I have. If all else fails, then I need to decide, be true to Nvidia, or try the other guys...(cough, gasp, ATI)

The 9500 rocks. I just purchased a "red" Sapphire 9500 128mg Non-Pro. It pulled 13585 3D Mark 2001SE stock out of the with a modest OC. The CPU was a 1700+ JIUHB - AIUGA @2.210

anything counts bebe..
no water, no peltier, air cooled Ti200 gives me 11,379 on an Athlon at 1.87ghz only & old KT266a platform.

that's at 2.5ghz.

note: don't rely too much on the overall system "mhz". Twice the mhz does not equate to twice the 3dmark score/performance..
oh, and... read this quote, again..

I kicked my system down to 180x11 and I lost a whole 300 points. So does 10 FSB = 300 points straight across the board? Damn, I wish I had some high quality ram.

yep... that's about right. Depending on the level of multipliers you can get 30~ 35 pts. boost per 1 FSB increase.
