How do you guys get the temp when under a full load? I know there are some bench or stress test programs out there that people run on their comps.
I got the software at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ and that gets my idle CPU temp....I just want to run those stress tester programs to get temp under a full load (make sure its not overheating).
It also seems that the TBirds should say under 60 C when under a full load
Download prime95. It will warm up the proc pretty good. Just be sure to keep an eye on your temps for the first little while to make sure you aren't overheating. I use it all the time. As far as temps go, 60 is hot, at the most I would go no higher than 50 maybe 52, even then, you may want to look for a slightly better cooler. Idealy you should aim for 40 under load(I am still trying to get there myself :-)) There is another one to download called SETI, I think you can get it from the homepage here. I have never used it, but from what I have read it's also good for beating up the proc. Hope this helps a little and good luck!! :-)

I use Seti all the time, not just for testing, but to actually let this high powered chunk pf plastic, metal, and silcon do something useful while I am work. I am using an FOP38 that I swapped the Delta fan out for a fan from the VolcanoII...max loaded temps on the Delta fan was 41c @24c ambient, and with the Everflow fan I get 45c at the same ambient temps. Acceptable temps and ALOT quieter than the Black Label Delta fan. But honestly there is no way the Everclear fan is pumping out 36cfm. An FOP32 would do just about the same I think. Having (2) 120mm blowholes and (4) additional 80mm case fans also keeps the case air circulated nicely.

Another good programme U can use is the flaskmpeg which converts mpeg-2 to mpeg-4.It needs a lot of proc power and loads the CPU up to 80% I think.
Where could one pickup Prime95?

Hoot
U should also try Folding @home. This program makes my CPU boil! It's a program just like Seti, just a little better to fire up the temps on ur CPU. SETI could get my CPU to 50C, but Folding took it to 52C ( I REALLY need the FOP38 now!)
U can get it here: http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/Cosm/
U can also read more about the program on the page.
