have u guys seen the review of the 1.8 gig opteron over at xbit labs? very impressive performance in gaming benchies. If they crank up the speed that things gonna be a monster..

the FSB runs at the same speed as the Proc right? how fast is the PCI bus, anyone know? and the link between the south and north bridges.

the "fsb" is in the cpu so it theoretically runs at core speed. :)

i guess PCI is the regualr 33MHz.

There is no northbridge on a hammer motherboard. It's mostly in the CPU now. The connection between the CPU and any chipset pieces is 800MHz. The connection between the CPU and memory is as fast as the memory.
