Okay...I was doing a bit of research on a new computer that I am going to be using for some video work.
I was going to go with ABIT's KT7A-RAID. Then someone informed me that the dual athlon's should be coming out within the next few months.
Is that going to happen? What should I look for? Are ASUS or ABIT going to be making one? Is there a better mobo manufacturer than ASUS and ABIT?

Man...the idea of dual athlon's running at 1.2 GHz really thrills me. But, I am having trouble hunting down info on any future dual athlon motherboards.

Thanks for any help.

let me just give u some advice
first of all to run dual u need win2k or winNT
second u need the same processors and speed
third of all not all programs can support dual processors and u end up spending alot of money
and i think u need a 350w or 400w power supply

i should know i have a dual motherboard use to run 2 pentium3's 500 but kept on crashing not very stable took it off and made two different computers

Here here to that :)

Dualies are only needed when you want to run a lot of processor hungry programs at the same time... a friend of mine here at Cornell has a dual pII 500 system running win2k, and he hasnt rebooted in 6 months... thats stability. But, he uses it for programming, video encoding, and audio decoding... nothing else... Save your money for the dual board, and get a kt7a-raid or kt7a, and a new 1.2 266 tbird... and some extra ram... It'll work better
