Looks like i hit a wall with my settings, is getting rid of the settings it as simple as switching the jumpers to clear the cmos?

All the other boards i've ever used usually have a feature that automatically underclocks the CPU if it wont boot but apparently the biostar boards don't.

Did you try getting the latest bios (if available) for the board? cause i have a m7vit pro and i had to update for it to recognize my 2500...
 
Biostar boards don't default to any settings if they won't post. But they do have that jumper that forces a 100MHz bus so that you can boot and get everything working again. I think on the Biostar boards it's called the JCLK3, but that might be model specific.
