Okay heres the deal, I was messin around and I upped the FSB on my 800 duron to 8x110
ok no probs there,
I also upped my Vcore +.25 (meant to do +.025)

ok so by accident I upped my core to 1.95

anyways everything was running ok except the system couldnt handle my ram running over 145Fsb with stock cooling, 8x109 works mint, 8x110 is just a bit too much

ok so anyways I went to disable my clocking and go back to normal settings
thats when I noticed my Vcore was at 1.95 volts and reliazed I upped to the wrong setting lol

anyways when I went to turn it down
the option to adjust my Vcore was GONE!!! no more to be found in my bios settings, WTF!

ok so I clocked the CPU back down to 8 x 100
but im stuck at a core Voltage of 1.95 V
!!!

i may try updating bios if I can find one,
but anyways, my question is, will the 1.95 Vcore damage my system in any way ?

the CPU is running maybe 1 degree hotter, about 26-30c Idle, about 43-46c under full load

which isnt too bad

so am I gonna wreck it ?

damn cheap mobos! lol

if u were wondering this is my noname POS mobo hehe

Future Power KT133
heres some links to details about the mobo

rest of my system shouldnt make a diff but here it is

Duron 800mhz -
With Crome Orb (BLECH big mistake)
128 Mb Generic PC133 Cas3
Nvidia Geforce 256 - 32mb DDR
15Gb Fujitsu 5400 HDD
Panasonic 8x4x32 CD-RW
3Com 10Base-T 300b TPO -NIC

rest is pointless

oh and Im running all this on a 230watt P/S lol

Clear the cmos, this should return you to the default settings for everything. On my ABIT it is a jumper that i short pins 1 and 2 then return jumper to 2and3.

Sorry forgot to mention

I DID clear the cmos, but no luck!!! everything was wiped back to normal by shorting the jumpers EXCEPT the option to adjust my Vcore was still gone, and my Vcore was still and is still running at 1.95v

Will removing the battery be the same as shorting the jumper?
id imagine so?

and will the 1.95v core wreck anything ?
thats all I really need to know,

2 days now still havent had a problem,
but over time I never know

I will try bios update soon.. maybe tonight

Well like you said time will tell,It sounds like you had to have flashed that bios in the past to a newer version am I correct. This is a guess ?I had a bios flash on an asus that got me the L2 cache adjustment,The adjustment wasent present on the factory shipped bios.

SO i would try to flash with the latest bios out there and see if you get that setting back.

Ok well I was running the stock bios that shipped with the MOBO

it had the Vcore setting when i got it about 3 or 4 weeks ago

I just tried updating to the bios flash they had on the website and it tells me its not passing the checksum :(

so i cant update the bios to what they have for some reason :( so I guess monday I will call the manufacturer and try to get some info, if not I will have to return this mobo and get me a newer one :)

thnx for the help and if anyone else has any suggestions Id love to listen

I mean its only a $110 Candadian processor,
but if the mobo is bad then it might do this with and CPU i put in it :(

I can't say for certain, because I havn't done any O/Cing myself...but, the main thing is heat. And your temps are well within the norm...also, I have read where some guys say that the bios reports the Vcore volts in error sometimes...so, maybe yours isn't really at 1.95?. I have seen where some of the guys run Vcore at 2 V or better...this could be for tests only tho.

you can try to reflash your bios useing the latest flash program from ami. even if you are running award bios you can flash with the awi flash program and you can even flash with it from windows just drag the new bios file to awiflash.exe and it will flash it for you be sure that you are using the right bios because it will allow you to flash it with whatever bios that you want

ok lets go back to your orginal question for a moment ... a cvoltage of 1.95 will not harm your cpu ... if your temps stay in line .... my abit board (before the voltage mod) was set at 1.85 and read 1.91 and i had no problems .... i have been running my duron 700 at 2.1 volts for over a month now with no ill effects ....

second ... before i unlocked this cpu i could run the fsb at 117 without harming anything as well ... so your fsb of 109 - 110 still should be no problem for the time being ... and it seems to be in line with what other people can run their fsb at on this chip

lastly ... i would ignore flashing the bios for the time being .... unlock the L1 bridges and see how high you can crank your multipler using a fsb of 100 ... once you find your highest stable setting, back off the mutlipler by one step (ie 50mz) and then start uping your fsb ... stick with the highest STABLE fsb ... and the second highest multipler setting .... (at least this formula has worked well for me)

good luck :)
