Hi i have two cpu and are going to sell the other one to a friend.

Now the L309 is made 4/4/03
and the L319 23/6/03
which one should i keep? which is best for overclocking?

Try both and see. That's the only way you'll know for sure. The L309 seems to have done better from the looks of things though.

It just depends on which one is better. :)

Maybe after 5 hours. Then try the other one.

BTW, are you doing 2 Prime so that you stress 100% of the CPU? If you're only running 1 and HT enabled, you'll only stress it 50%.

From what Ive read around the forums the "L309" will (or should) be your best best for a higher OC than the "L319" . Than again there are more L309 chips out there to compare to .

The L309 seems to go cooler than the L319 acording to the internal meter.

Less voltage needed = cooler cpu = higher overclock = :D

(The L309 chip probably is a slighlty better fabricated chip if the pack dates are close to the same)

Ok, right click on your prime app, you should then go to properties. Then find the little space that says Target. It should say something like C:\Program Files\Prime95\Prime95.exe. Add a "-a1" without the quotes after that and then open up again and you should have 2.
