I ran a Tbird 1ghz system at stock with some PNY PC2100 I got from Office Depot for about $8 after rebate several months ago. Anyway, it had Spectek 7.5ns chips, which didn't seem to hold too much promise in the way of overclocking. However, I did remember that deathstar13(where did he go, by the way???) ran a stick of Corsair PC2100 value stuff with Spectek chips at over 200mhz... so I thought I'd give this RAM a try. The first stick a got a few months ago is stable at 2.5-3-3-5 at 190. I'm currently testing the second stick I got today (going to be about $8 again after rebate) at 200 at 2.5-3-3-6. My first stick was double-sided, while the one I just got is single-sided. I'm pumping 2.9v through them and I'll be adding some heatspreaders soon to help get rid of some of the heat they're putting out. I think I'm going to test them in dual channel in my 8RDA.
The point of all this is that while they don't run the greatest timings in the world, you can't beat 8 bucks for 256mb of RAM that'll do 200. Now if I could just get that first stick to do it too...
