Epox 8KTA3 or the Kt7a (raid or w/o raid w/e you need) Most tbird 1200's come unlocked. Why do you want one that comes unlocked? they'll probably charge you extra, you can do it yourself for 8$ with a defogger kit, or even cheaper with a good pencil.

ABIT KT7A ,Amd 1.2 266fsb processor all 1.2 come factory unlocked.I am at 1.4 with factory voltage.For cooling i use the alpha6035.idle 29c full load 41c.

Get a 266fsb chip because if you dont overclock, you have a fsb that most people in here are trying to obtain

that sites bull

retail price for a 1gig duron is 200$? hell for 180$ you could get 2 duron 800's that are pretty much guarenteed to do a gig. Who buys pretested cpu's? Not me, takes all the fun out of overclocking.

Those guys are selling chips that they say are garanteed to overclock at 1Ghz? Something doesn't sound right about that.

I haven't ordered yet myself, but I like what I am reading on the Iwill KK266-R. The latest bios, 1.2 has a bug in it, but Iwill will have that corrected pronto. Abit boards seem to be having a lot of problems recently from what I read on the forums, and getting an RMA from Abit is difficult, and I believe they charge about 25 bucks to RMA something back. Soyo is coming out with a Raid board, there are already a few reviews for it, and it looks promising as well. Soyo has a good tech help/customer service policy as well as a good stable board...so, I'm looking closely at these also..

There is no 1 gig Duron to my knowledge, and many 800s and 850s will not go to 1 gig...depends on the batch...all are made in Austin Texas, and have the aluminum core. So, the ppl that are selling 1 gig Durons are O/Cing them by testing several to get one that will do it. There was a guy that sold a 750 Tbird at eBay today for $166 bux, and nowhere did he mention it was a 750 overclocked. Somebody is gonna be ticked. He had it listed at 1100 mhz.

I have 2 abit boards kt7-raid and kt7a-raid. I had trouble with one board and didn't have any trouble getting it replaced. Other than the one problem I had the boards have worked very well. T-Bird 1000@1233 and stable as a rock. T-Bird 1000@1144 air cooled and stable.
