slk-900U whereabouts

wheres a good place to buy a slk-900u my friend got a ****ty 800 from newegg (worse than a volcano 7) so places that have a nicely finished bottom for good contact (800 had visible deep ridges)

I guess you could lap the 800... I think newegg has some pretty good prices, unless some other store has a sale or something.

I just got one from newegg and it had no visual imperfections and felt smooth. 2$ more than at svc tho.

elitecool sells lapped heatsinks AND lapping kits
only a few heatsinks are lapped tho, and they are like 5 bux more expensive than their stock counterparts, but theyre woth it since they save you the work and lapping kits (with glass) are 7 bucks

could always try bestbyte few bucks cheaper than SVC. That's where I got my SLK-800u.

The SLK-800 shouldn't be too bad, definately not worse than a volcano 7,
