Is there any danger in running the PowerMax drive diagnostic? Has anyone had trouble? any tips?

I don't have any tips, but I haven't had any trouble with it either.

It supposed to diagnose problems, not make them :D You shouldn't have any problems with it. Just make sure you're drives are running cool, you don't want the drives overheating under the stress.

stress? what does this program do? sorry for the stupid questions, but i know nothing about this.

It just basically tests your harddrive for errors among a few other apps. If your drive is working fine, don't worry about it. You don't need it then.
