The official release is now available.
I have installed them and so far no problems with any of my games. I have not ran any benchmarks so I don't know if there is any performance improvement.

there's no changelog or something, is there?
I guess I'll wait till I find an official announcement somewhere... maybe it fixes the problems half-life is supposed to have with AA (yeah right...)

9.0A gave me a few problems, so I'll try 9.0B soon.
Figures though, as I just downloaded 9.0A a few days ago to play the Gunmetal demo

Some security updates IIRC. Nothing in means of performance I recon.
It doesn't help with HL2 AA problem (or so I read).

just download the patch, it even updates the directx to 9.0b and can be uninstalled... the only difference (i checked) is a vulnerability fix in directshow...
I don't have a direct x 9 card...i don't really have problems with my current direct x version... yet the link beckons... must resist clicking...

I don't have one either but i found somethings work better having directx 9 one then a pervious versious. I am going to try it out and see what happens.
